The West Coast called to Vivala SLAM from an early age. Growing up in
a Boston Orphanage, SLAM learned the fine arts of panhandling and dumpster
diving. By the age of 14 Venice Beach beckoned her so she grabbed her
skateboard and hitched a ride on the back of a Greyhound bus. California
was good to SLAM and brought much fame and fortune in the recording
industry, but something in her life was still missing. For years she
tried to fill the hole with dangerous deeds and general debauchery and
finally she decided to return to the most unlikely of places, MAINE.
There she saw her first bout with the kick ass chicks from Maine Roller
Derby and knew that this was her calling.
Side Note: When Slam is not on the rink she can be
found chillin’ with her little man Slamito and husband, Senor Slam.
